Loaded Handgun Confiscated at Boise Airport Security Checkpoint

A Nampa man was stopped at the security checkpoint of the Boise Airport early today and cited when a weapon was discovered during a screening process.

The Boise Police Department reports that the man attempted to carry a loaded handgun through security just before 6 a.m., before he attempted to board a flight to Salt Lake City.

Boise Police confiscated the weapon and the man was cited for violating Idaho Code 18-7503, a misdemeanor.

This is the fourth time this year that a loaded firearm was discovered at the Boise Airport's security checkpoint.
