Two Former Boise State Students Sue School Over Sexual Assault Response

The Associated Press reports that two former Boise State University students have filed suit against the university, saying it failed to address complaints of alleged sexual assaults. The women claim that a track and field athlete sexually assaulted and harassed them, and Boise State athletic officials ignored the incident.

Attorney Gloria Allred is representing the women in their lawsuit. They said that athletic officials were aware of the athlete’s record of serially harassing and assaulting other students, and contend that the lack of official response facilitated the athlete to continue acting in such a manner.

The women are not identified and Boise State officials refuse to comment.
