FBI Investigating Hate Crimes At Idaho LDS Churches

The FBI has launched a formal hate crime investigation into a November incident of vandalism at three LDS churches in Eastern Idaho.

Feds say suspects drew several male genitalia on the exterior walls, sidewalks and doors of the churches, and wrote several phases including "Brigham Young was rapist," "Sheepole," "Die Mormons," Burn in Hell," and "Burn." The suspects also drew several inverted crosses on the church buildings in the Chubbock area.

Law enforcement believes the vandalism occurred in the late evening hours of November 6, 2013 or the early morning of November 7, 2013.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Boise office at 208-344-7843 or the Chubbock Police Department at 208-237-7172.
