Boise police questioned two men but only charged one following a report of shots being fired in a West Boise neighborhood in the early morning hours of Feb. 15.
Officers were called to a residence in the 1300 block of North Fernleaf Street near East Locust Road early Saturday morning. That's where neighbors reported the sounds of two shotgun blasts after two men were spotted outside of the residence. Witnesses told police that the two men took off in a vehicle, but patrol officers stopped the car a short time later on North Cloverdale Road.
Investigators determined that the two men were involved in a dispute with a number of people inside the Fernleaf Street residence. No one was hit or injured.
One of the men, 19-year-old Chase Lagers, of Garden City, was charged with three felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a felony count of firing at an occupied building.
