Police Blotter: Suspects Accused of Stealing Meds, Injury to a Child

A Boise man is behind bars, charged with a felony count of injury to a child following an investigation by the Boise Police Special Victims Unit.

The arrest follows an incident in April 2013, when police were sent to a residence in the 8600 block of West Rifleman Street. That's where a witness reported that the suspect had left marks and bruises on a child on separate occasions.

Following a lengthy investigation, Benjamin Wentworth, 33, was arrested Feb. 5 and booked into the Ada County Jail for injury to a child.

Rebeka Ann Poole aka Cooper, 48, Boise is charged with burglary and possession of a controlled substance.

Boise Police also report that they were called to a residence near South Vista Avenue and West Canal Street Jan. 29. Officers spoke to a person who said an in-home caregiver had stolen morphine pills from a patient's prescription bottle. On a separate visit on Feb. 5, the suspect was additionally accused of stealing Oxycodone pills from another prescription bottle. Police said evidence indicated that the suspect had been intentionally entering a patient's home three days a week and stealing various medications since November.

Rebekah Ann Poole, aka Cooper, 48, of Boise was charged with two felony counts of burglary, and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance (prescription medication).
