Police Blotter: Injury to a Child and Trying to Resell Stolen Clothing

A Boise woman is behind bars after law enforcement said she injured a child.

Boise Police Detectives say they were notified by a local hospital that a young child had been treated for severe injuries on Dec. 3, 2013. Detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit determined that the injuries were caused by the suspect.

Police have placed the victim and three siblings, all age 5 or younger, in protective custody.

Saadia Omar, 25, of Boise with booked into the Ada County Jail and charged with a felony count of injury to a child.

Hailey Phillips, 20, and Christopher Fleming, 22, both of Garden City are each charged with burglary.

Boise Police also report that two Garden City residents have been arrested for trying to resell stolen clothing.

Police were contacted by a store on North Milwaukee Street on the evening of Jan. 28. That's when employees said that a man and a woman were trying to sell several new articles of clothing from one retail store to second-hand clothing retail stores.

Hailey Phillips, 20, and Christopher Fleming, 22, both of Garden City, were each charged with felony counts of burglary.
