A Boise man is behind bars, following a high-speed chase on Interstate 84 and his attempt to escape into a Boise Albertsons, where police ultimately tased him.

The incident began at approximately 9 p.m. on Jan. 26, when an Ada County Sheriff's deputy tried to pull over the suspect on I-84. But according to law enforcement, the suspect continued to speed away, traveling into Boise and eventually bringing his pickup to a stop outside of the Albertsons grocery store on Overland Road and Vista Avenue.

Police said the suspect jumped out of his truck and ran into the store. When police confronted the suspect, law enforcement said he refused to surrender so the ACSO deputy used a taser to subdue the suspect.

Officers also discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the suspect's vehicle.
