A Boise man is behind bars, charged with a felony count of transfer of bodily fluids which may contain HIV.
Boise Police say they were contacted in August by a a male victim saying he had sex with the suspect and later learned the suspect has HIV. The victim told officers he wished to pursue criminal charges and the case was transferred to detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit. A warrant was issued for the suspect's arrest.
40-year-old James Lamorie of Boise was charged into the Ada County Jail on a charge of transfer of bodily fluid which may contain HIV. If found guilty, the suspect faces possible punishment of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000.
Boise Police also report that they were called out Dec. 12 by an employee of a business on the 7200 block of West Potomac Drive. The employee said that the front window had been shattered and an office Christmas tree was trashed. The man said he found a suspect, who appeared intoxicated, inside the business. When police arrived, the found the suspect in the lobby of a nearby hotel.
22-year-old Lucas Clemeaux of Boise was charged with a felony count of malicious injury to property and unlawful entry.
