A Boise woman is behind bars, charged with felony battery of a police officer following a traffic stop which also resulted in drug charges.
Boise Police say they observed a vehicle with no front license plate in the late night hours of Dec. 3 near Franklin Road and Orchard Street. A check through Boise City records indicated the suspect had an outstanding warrant for her arrest on failure to appear charges. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Police said the woman resisted her arrest and, at one point, bent an officer's fingers back causing pain to the officer. The suspect had to be restrained while the search was completed.
26-year-old Bailey Hammer of Boise was charged with battery on an officer, a warrant charge for failure to appear and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Boise Police said they also assisted Idaho Probation and Parole on the search for a parole absconder at a hotel room on the 1600 block of West Main Street Dec. 3. During a search, officers also discovered meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
41-year-old Clayton Duncan of Boise and 35-year-old Heather Shepherd were each charged with trafficking meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Duncan was also charged with possession of marijuana and a warrant charge for failure to appear.
