Threats With Weapon in Boise Park Result in Aggravated Assault Charge

James Bridges, 52, is charged with aggravated assault and parole violation.

Boise Police say alleged threats with a handgun have landed a man behind bars at the Ada County lockup.

In the late hours of Oct. 3, law enforcement responded to a report of aggravated assault in Veterans Memorial Park. The victim, who was staying with 52-year-old James Bridges and a third man at a small campsite near the park, told police that Bridges produced a handgun and made threats against the victim's life. Officers located Bridges a short time later in the park. A check through Boise City records indicated Bridges had an outstanding warrant for parole violation charges and, according to police, he appeared to be very intoxicated at the time.

Bridges, who has no known address, was booked on a felony count of aggravated assault and another felony count of parole violation.
