Boise Police say they have arrested a suspect in connection with the burglary of a Boise bench residence on Sept. 17. Residents told police that the home had been burglarized on three different occasions and that the suspect was known to them. Law enforcement said the suspect also sold some of the stolen items, including a video game console, to obtain cash.
18-year-old Jacob Payne, with no known address, was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony count of burglary.
Boise Police on overnight patrol responded to a citizen report of possible drug activity in an alley behind the 2700 block of West State Street. Officers located a suspect and said the suspect threw a glass pipe with meth residue to the ground. A check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect was wanted on a outstanding warrant for probation violation.
29-year-old Corey Stefani of Boise was charged with a felony count of meth possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, probation violation and destruction of evidence.
Boise Police said they also observed a speeding vehicle on the Westbound I-84 connector overnight. After stopping the vehicle, a Boise Police K-9 alerted officers to the likely presence of drug. Police discovered a bag containing 1.6 grams of meth and a glass pipe.
27-year-old Amber Giovacchini of Boise was charged with a felony count of meth possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
