Inspectors at the U.S. Postal Service tilted their heads at a package addressed to Ryan E. Ricks, 23, of Boise, but they didn't just wonder about it, they asked the Boise Police Narcotics Detectives to check it out as part of a monthlong marijuana trafficking investigation.

A news release from BPD says that detectives determined the suspect received a package through the U.S. mail that contained two and a quarter pounds of weed. Ricks received the package at a residence on the 2800 block of West Agate Street on the evening of Friday, Sept. 6. After taking delivery of the package, detectives swooped in and arrested him.

Investigators found evidence that Ricks may have been involved in the sale of marijuana in the Boise area. The value of his package: around $3,500. The investigation continues.
