Police Blotter: Computer Crimes, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Tussling With Police

A Boise man is behind bars after attempting to wrestle a weapon from a Boise Police officer.

Law enforcement responded to a fight in front of a bar on the 600 block of Main Street in the early morning hours of Aug. 24. That's where officers said they had to pull the suspect off of another combatant, but when police were escorting the suspect away, he reportedly grabbed an officer's holstered weapon in an attempt to remove it. In the struggle, police the suspect sustained a head injury. He was treated and cleared from a nearby hospital.

21-year-old Michael Kalange of Boise was charged with a felony count of attempting to remove a weapon from a law enforcement officer.

Ryan Morse, 19, is charged with computer crimes.

Boise Police said they also arrested a suspect in connection with computer crimes earlier this year.

Police acted on an arrest warrant following an investigation of a local company where the suspect allegedly deleted and/or altered computer files.

19-year-old Ryan Morse of Boise was charged with a felony count of computer crimes and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Erick Minani, 21, is charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident.

Police also responded to a collision on the 2500 block of South Marlette Lane Aug. 23. That's where witnesses told police that a vehicle had left the scene of a collision without stopping. Two adult victims were transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

Officer later located the suspect at a residence on West Fairview Avenue.

22-year-old Erick Minani of Boise was charged with a felony count of leaving the scene of an injury accident.
