Glenn Beck To Star at Eastern Idaho Fundraiser

Volatile media celebrity Glenn Beck is bringing his libertarian-leaning roadshow to Eastern Idaho in order to help out a failing performing arts center.

Idaho Falls KIFI-TV reports that tickets quickly sold out as soon as Beck announced his appearance for the Thursday, Aug. 29 fundraiser at the Worm Creek Opera House in Preston.

The theater, built in 1930, is in need of new seats and a wider stage, and, according to opera house officials, Beck promised to do his presentation for free. More than 850 people have already paid a suggested donation of $40 to see Beck.

And the name? KIFI reports that Preston was once known as Worm Creek but the townspeople didn't like the name and changed it to Preston.
