Calling him "the Duffel Bag Bandit," federal prosecutors say they have indicted and arrested a former Boise man currently living in Louisiana, charging him with the robbery of a U.S. Bank branch in Boise last March.

55-year-old Gerald Massey was arrested by the FBI Aug. 12 in Shreveport, La., and was arraigned in a Boise courtroom Aug. 14. He's accused of robbing the U.S. Bank branch at 10556 Fairview Avenue March 6, taking $64,500. If convicted, Massey faces up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.

The FBI had offered up to a $5,000 reward earlier this year for information leading to the arrest of the Duffel Bag Bandit, saying a man meeting that description had robbed six banks in Idaho and Utah.
