A Boise man is behind bars, accused of threatening someone with a kitchen knife during a dispute at a southeast Boise home July 28. According to witnesses, the suspect came at the victim aggressively with the knife, causing the victim to flee the home.
50-year-old Kenneth Boyink of Boise was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.
Boise Police were also called to a motel on the 2300 block of West Airport Way July 26. That's where employees told police that a man refused to leave the motel, even though he was a not of a guest. Police determined that the suspect had an outstanding warrant for probation violation charges and a search of the suspect revealed a glass pipe with meth residue, morphine and Dilaudid pills. Police said evidence indicated that the suspect had been involved in the sale of the drugs.
38-year-old Donnie Capers, with no known address, was booked into the Ada County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
Boise Police also report that they observed a vehicle speeding and crossing the yellow center line of West State and Alamosa streets July 28. The suspect, who appeared to be very intoxicated, failed several field sobriety tests and a check through Boise City Records indicated the suspect had two prior DUI convictions.
27-year-old Grant Hill of Boise was charged with a felony count of driving under the influence (excessive).
Law enforcement were also called to a business on the 600 block of East Boise Avenue July 28. That's where employees told police a man was attempting to purchase an iPad using a stolen credit card. Police said evidence indicates the suspect had completed the same transaction and obtained a second iPad at another store an hour earlier.
22-year-old Alexander Collins of Boise was charged with felony counts of grand theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
