Press-Tribune: Notus Mayor Loses Foot in Accident

The mayor of Notus is back on the job at City Hall after having a significant medical crisis.

This morning's Idaho Press-Tribune reports that Notus Mayor Chris Collins had one foot amputated after suffering a serious on-the-job injury earlier this year.

Notus Council President David Portfield filled in for Collins while the mayor recuperated. A city official told the Press-Tribune that Collins is still undergoing physical therapy at home but is expected to make a full recovery and is in good sprits.
