Police Blotter: Charges of Retail Theft, Felony DUI


Boise Police say they have made another arrest in connection with a suspected retail crime ring. On June 10, law enforcement arrested a Boise couple in connection with what police said may have been a series of thefts over the past several months at different retailers.

22-year-old James Montoya is charged with burglary.

On June 12, police arrested 22-year-old James Montoya of Boise and charged him with felony burglary in connection with the thefts.

Curtis Williams is charged with burglary and grand theft.

Also June 12, police said they arrested an Oklahoma City man after the suspect was with thousands of dollars in merchandise taken from local stores. Police said evidence indicates the suspect had been involved in criminal activity in a number of states including Idaho, Colorado and Utah.

Curtis Williams of Oklahoma City was charged with three felony counts of burglary and a felony count of grand theft.

Rachel Weeks, 30, is charged with felony DUI.

Early this morning, Boise Police said they observed a vehicle failing to signal a turn on the 1400 block of South Leadville Avenue. The driver appeared to be very intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests. A check through Boise City Records indicated that the suspect had prior convictions for DUI.

30-year-old Rachel Weeks of Prairie was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony count of DUI.
