Video: North Idaho Councilman Calls 911 After Being Called 'Moron' in Funding Feud

A north Idaho lawmaker said he felt compelled to call 911 at a meeting of the Coeur d'Alene City Council, after he was called "a moron."

Spokane's KREM-TV reports that when a 911 operator received a call from Coeur d'Alene City Councilman Steve Adams, the lawmaker said:

"I would like to have an officer respond. I would like a citizen's arrest. The attorney Mike Gridley is threatening me."

Adams told the 911 operator that Coeur d'Alene City Attorney Mike Gridley "got within a foot of my face" and called him a "moron." Adams said he also filed an ethics complaint with the Idaho State Bar against Gridley.

What was the big fracas over? The City Council is trying to determine funding for a wastewater sewage treatment plant.
