Late on the evening of Jan. 5, Boise Police were on the lookout for a man and his two children, believed to be on foot in northwest Boise despite the frigid temperatures.
According to a release issued by BPD, information given to officers indicated the man had no access to a vehicle, causing concern for the children's welfare in the cold. Officers believe the man was attempting to avoid detectives looking to question him in connection with an alleged crime.
By approximately 8:45 p.m. that day, the two children—a 4-year-old boy and girl—were located at a Boise residence without the father.
Police are still looking for the man, described as 6-feet, 1-inch tall, 200 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes, wearing a black coat.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Boise Police through the department's non-emergency dispatch number, 208-377-6790.
