In the shadow of the blistering Election Night defeat of the Luna Laws, Blue Review editor Nathaniel Hoffman chronicles the names and numbers behind the losing effort waged by Education Voters of Idaho, the political action group that was dragged into court to reveal its donors.
The name of New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg immediately lept into the headlines as being a $200,000 contributor to EVI. But Hoffman details how Bloomberg's family foundation is a major donor to the Foundatin for Excellence in Education, whose board is led by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush—already touted as a GOP presidential favorite in 2016.
The Blue Review also details the backgrounds of other EVI donors, including Joe Scott, grandson of Joe Albertson; John Fisher, heir to the GAP fortune; and Frank Baxter, former ambassador to Uruguay under the Bush Administration.
