McCall College has secured authorization from the Idaho State Department of Education to begin offering classes in the spring of 2013.
This morning's McCall Star-News reports that professional, technical and academic education classes will be taught in classrooms in McCall's Park Place Professional Center.
But the first batch of McCall College students won't be receiving two-year degrees right away, reports the Star-News. Instead, they'll receive "certificates of excellence." Accreditation to award degrees is expected to take four to six years.
McCall College, not affiliated with any private, parochial or public agency, is expected to include divisions of languages and creative arts, health and human kinetics, business, natural science and math, computer science, social and behavioral science and philosophy and ethics.
