Following a string of near-perfect weather, showers greeted early morning Treasure Valley commuters today, with more isolated showers expected this evening. But forecasters are keeping a close watch on a severe weather pattern that will be pushing in from southeast Oregon on Tuesday.
Sustained winds of 30-40 mph are expected to sweep into the Treasure Valley by Tuesday afternoon, with some gusts expected to hit 50 mph. An advisory has already been posted for the region from noon until 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The good news is that the winds are also expected to usher in another string of Indian summer weather, with sunshine and highs in the mid to upper 60s expected through much of the week ahead.
