Robert Holliday is charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and malicious injury to property

There are bad relationships, really bad relationships and the relationship between 54-year-old Robert Holliday and a woman who told Boise Police that Holliday took a sledge hammer to her car Thursday afternoon.

Holliday was locked up at the Ada County Jail, facing a felony charge of possessing meth and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and malicious injury to property.

Police said they nabbed Holliday after he tried to take off from a restaurant parking lot on South Broadway Avenue. That's where the woman said Holliday escalated their ongoing dispute by retrieving a sledge hammer from his vehicle and smashing out the headlights of her car. During a search of Holliday's car, police said they found meth and a pipe.
