More candidates are reportedly being considered for the job of managing the City of McCall, but McCall citizens don't know their identities, let alone anything else about them.
This morning's McCall Star-News reports that the McCall City Council continues to meet behind closed doors, considering who they should hired as city manager.
A July 20 editorial in the Star-News roundly criticized McCall elected officials for keeping constituents in the dark:
"Who are these people who aspire to lead the city in the coming years?" asked the Star-News. "No one knows except for a select group of people and they aren’t talking. No applications have been released."
The only information that has come out of McCall City Hall is that the the search for a new city manager has widened a bit, including five more applicants, which brings the list of potential candidates to 10.
McCall City Manager Lindley Kirkpatrick is spending his last day on the job today. He and his wife are moving to Scotland.
