Former Canyon County Prosecutor John Bujak will be spending even more time in court, but at a defense table.
Bujak, who resigned in September 2010 amid allegations that he took funds from the City of Nampa for personal use, was arrested in late 2011 and charged with embezzlement and grand theft.
Wednesday evening, Bufak was booked into the Ada County Jail and held on $50,000 bond, following a one-count indictment on felony grand theft. Prosecutors allege that Bujak accessed multiple checks that were the property of the estate of M.K. Littleton "with the intent to deprive the estate of the property or to appropriate the property to himself." Prosecutors said the alleged crimes occured before Bujak was elected (In November 2008) and also during his time in office.
