The Great Danish Fight: Idaho Couple in Violent Pastry Standoff

by

The gospel according to Homer Simpson reminds us that there is little more important than donuts - but an eastern Idaho couple apparently went too far in their pastry dispute.

The Associated Press reports that Idaho Falls police arrived at the home of Sheilie Coughlan and her live-in boyfriend John Rice. Police said the two were in a firey debate over Coughlan's teenage son eating the last of their Danish. Law enforcement said Coughlan threw a steak knife at Rice. The woman told police Rice had threatened her with a gun, but it was Coughlan who was lockied up on a charge of suspicion of aggravated battery.
