Boise Man Jailed For Fifth DUI

A Boise man is facing the possibility of spending several years behind bars after being arrested overnight for driving under the influence - his fifth DUI arrest since 1994. The crime of felony DUI is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Boise Police said 59-year-old Gary Cloe was pulled over at the intersection of Dorian and Gourley streets after nearly driving into the medium. Law enforcement said Cloe failed several field sobriety tests, but "was uncooperative," declining to undergo a breath test. A blood sample was taken at the Ada County jail, where he remains locked up facing a misdemeanor failure to appear in court on a previous warrant, in addition to the DUI charge. Because of his previous DUI convictions, last night's DUI arrest became a felony.
