A group of Valley County educators and business people is working on a plan that could see a new community college being set up in McCall.
The Star News reports that a group of McCall residents has formed something called the McCall College Foundation, with hopes to offer classes in the Park Place Professional Center in the Valley County city.
Proposed two-year degrees would include: small business, culinary arts, environmental sciences, health and wellness, sports and recreation, computer science, and other technical certificates in woodworking, forestry and hospitality.
The Star News reports that the economic impact of the college could be over $3.2 million, coming from fees, room, board and books.
The foundation has posted a survey at mccallcollege.org to gauge interest.
