Gingrich Greeted by Double Shot of Sarcasm at Iowa Coffee Shop

As presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich rolls through Iowa, touting a campaign platform of job growth, apparently not everyone is buying what the former U.S. House speaker is selling.

The New York Times visited the Coffee Works in Sioux City, Iowa this morning, in advance of a Gingrich meet-and-greet. where a chalkboard advertising today's special promised: "The Newt: Ham (lots of it), American cheese on White Bread. Price increase on this one!"

When Gingrich arrived at the sandwich shop, he didn't find 100 percent support, according to the Times.

"A woman derided his support for the recall last year of three Iowa Supreme Court judges who had ruled in favor of same-sex marriage," wrote the Times.

To cap things off, Gingrich was handed a double cappuccino by a barrista who wore a T-shirt that said, "Barack, the Coffee Shop."
