A Valley County Sheriff's Deputy is pretty thankful to be alive this holiday, following a near-fatal encounter with a charging bull.
The McCall Star News reports that Patrol Deptuy Shaun Eichman was thrown into the air by a charging bull on Idaho Highway 55 last week. Eichman was attempting to move the bull off the highway when it charged him. The lawman grabbed the bull by the horns to keep from getting gored, but was thrown by the animal.
Two other deputies arrived on the scene and shot the bull dead when it turned to charge them.
