A Boise woman faces up to six months behind bars and a $1,000 fine for allegedly throwing a plastic cup at a flight attendant after being told to turn off her cellphone.

Dorothea Seidenglanz, 37, was booked into the Ada County Jail Friday night, after Boise Police responded to a request for assistance at the Boise Airport. According to police, multiple witnesses said Seidenglanz had refused to comply with regulations and stop using a cellphone before takeoff from Seattle. Police said she eventually complied with the request. Witnesses told police that during the flight to Boise, the suspect became verbally abusive toward a stewardess and threw a plastic cup, striking the stewardess in the head. Officers said they believed alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Seidenglanz will have a court date later this month.
