Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter is in Coeur d'Alene for today's memorial service for two Idaho soldiers killed in Iraq. Sgt. Nathan Beyers and Spc. Nicholas Newby were killed July 7 when insurgents attacked their convoy with an improvised explosive device. A third soldier, Sgt. Jason Rzepa, had both legs amputated below the knee due to injuries sustained in the Baghdad blast. Rzepa has been transported stateside where he will receive medical care at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
The soldiers were assigned to the 116th Cavalry Heavy Brigade Combat Team.
