Boise Police: Sex Assault is Prowler's Motive

Boise Police have reason to believe that a string of prowling incidents stretching back to the summer of 2010 may be related, and the motive may be sexual assault.

Law enforcement is investigating six separate incidents, most involving a man entering homes and approaching women as they slept. Victims reported that they woke up to find the man touching them. In most cases, the man entered through unlocked doors between 1:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. While a number of the incidents occurred in 2010, the most recent was reported last month. Most of the incidents were reported from Boise's North End.

The suspect is described as a light skinned-male in his 20s or early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall with a stocky build.

Police are urging citizens to keep their outside entry doors and windows locked and to call 911 immediately if they encounter suspicious activity.
