Idaho Retailer Offers Shotgun With Satellite

A week after RadioShack asked a Montana franchise manager to end a promotion to offer a shotgun with the purchase of a satellite television package, a Mountain Home RadioShack retailer has launched a similar deal.

Mountain Home RadioShack owner John Marshall told KBOI-TV that he's "willing to try anything to survive." A sign outside his store reads: "Free $135 shotgun with satellite install."

A Hamilton, Mont., shopkeeper made national headlines last week when he began giving coupons for a pistol or shotgun when his customers signed up for Dish Network packages. A sign outside the store read: "Protect yourself with Dish Network. Sign up now, get free gun." The retailer said Dish signed on to the deal but after a fair amount of publicity, RadioShack asked him to knock it off.
