Following 10 Day Delay, Mega-load Rolls Again

ConocoPhillips' second mega-load rolled overnight, following a 10-day weather delay. A blast of snow, ice and freezing temperatures waylaid the massive equipment outside of Kooskia.

The Conoco drum moved about 33 miles and this morning it sits at milepost 106.8 on U.S. Highway 12. Conoco plans to move four loads from the Port of Lewiston to its refinery in Billings, Mont. Weather permitting, the second load will make its way to the Montana border over the next two nights. It will join the first mega-load in an approximate two-day journey to Billings. The third and fourth loads are not expected to leave Lewiston until sometime in April.
