Representative Labrador

With plenty of family in attendance, Raul Rafael Labrador officially became Idaho's newest Congressman Wednesday afternoon, representing the Gem State's First District.

Born in Puerto Rico, Labrador was raised by a single mother. He and his wife Rebecca have five children.

New House Speaker John Boehner administered the oath to Labrador shortly after 2 p.m., Eastern Time.

"It is a true honor to be sworn to protect and uphold the Constitution," said Labrador. "My staff and I will be dedicated to providing the best level of constituent services for the people of the First Congressional District."
