Boise Solider's Hearing About to Start

by

Citydesk reporter George Prentice is at Joint Base Lewis-McChord this morning to attend 20-year-old Andrew Holmes' Article 32 hearing, which will determine whether the Army Private from Boise will face court martial for allegedly murdering Afghan civilians and keeping body parts as trophies.

According to Prentice, who called BW before heading into the hearing where neither cell phones nor Internet connectivity are allowed, 27 evidentiary witness—from forensic experts to Holmes' fellow platoon members—are slated to testify.

Expect an update from Prentice just before noon.
