Idaho Rep. Phil Hart, an Athol Republican, has been yanked from the House Revenue and Taxation Committee.
House Speaker Lawrence Denney met with Hart face-to-face on Nov. 8 in anticipation of the announcement. Hart was the subject of a special House ethics hearing stemming from accusations of unpaid state and federal taxes. While the panel, on a party-line vote, rejected the ethics complaint, it unanimously recommended that Hart be dumped from the Revenue and Tax Committee.
BW's Zach Hagadone is in North Idaho talking with legislators who happen to be touring the panhandle this week and he'll file a full report shortly.
