Not Exactly Counseling

A Hayden PSR worker has pleaded guilty to Medicaid provider fraud after taking two boys to a rap concert and then billing Idaho Medicaid for individual counseling services.

Lindsay Nelson was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 100 hours of community service or 20 shifts on a Sheriff's labor crew. An investigation by the Attorney General's Mediciad Fraud Control Unit found that Nelson took boys, who were supposed to be receiving psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, to a Kottonmouth Kings concert in Spokane, Wash. Medicaid provider fraud is a felony.
