Boise School Board Election Tuesday

Polls are open in the city of Boise, as two seats on the city's school board are up for election.

Currently serving in those two six-year positions are Bea Black and Rory Jones. Black is stepping down.

Jones is an attorney where grew up in Boise. He's been on the Boise School Board since 1986.

His challengers are Joan Boren and Cindy Thorngren.

Boren grew up in Boise, has a background in zoology and biology and has taught and tutored in the Boise school system.

Thorngren grew up in Boise, worked a decade for Junior Achievement and owns her own computer consulting firm.

Polls are open until 8 p.m. Don't forget that you are now required to bring photo identification to vote in any Idaho election, including school district runoffs.
