Second District Judge John Bradbury apparently wants to sleep on it. He may end up dreaming about massive truck loads inching their way across Idaho. After two-and-a-half hours of testimony in a Lewiston courtroom, Bradbury said he'd hand down a decision on Tuesday, Aug. 24 whether four loads of ConocoPhillips oil equipment can roll from the Port of Lewiston across U.S. Highway 12 and into Montana.
Testimony came from Advocates for the West, representing three Central Idahoans opposing the shipments, as well as Conoco and the Idaho Transportation Department. ITD said it had officially issued a permit for the transport, and if Bradbury gives the OK, the equipment could move as soon as mid-week.
