Coverage Available for Pre-Existing Conditions

The Governor may not like it. The legislature may try to stop it. But health care reform is eeking its way into Idaho. The state Insurance department is announcing that Idahoans can now apply for a new Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, administered by the Department of Health and Human Services. Simply put, if you're been uninsured for at least six months, and have been unable to obtain health coverage because of a pre-existing condition, you may be in luck. "They will be able to purchase coverage comparable to that of a healthy individual," said bill Deal, Department of Insurance Director.
