Boiseans will gather tonight at 9:15 p.m. at City Hall to mourn the shooting death of Kansas abortion provider, Dr. George R. Tiller.
Tiller was gunned down on Sunday as he attended his home church in Wichita, Kan. According to the AP, his suspected killer, Scott Roeder, held extreme anti-abortion views.
Vigils were hastily arranged last night across the country. So Boise's social media/abortion rights scene is one day late in calling for a memorial.
Leigh Ann Dufurrena, a queen bee of Boise's social media circle who's Blogger profile indicates she likes taco trucks and has a wounded cat, put out a call this afternoon for the silent vigil.
"I feel like there should be something done for the tragedy," Dufurrena told citydesk.
Dufurrena asks people to bring candles and signs to the vigil tonight.
