Who's Your Grammy?

The Shins' Wincing the Night Away is up for Best Alternative Music Album and Flight of the Conchords' Distant Future EP is up for Best Comedy Album (both are on Seattle's Sub Pop label). You may not be familiar with the HBO comedy series, Flight of the Conchords, starring Bret and Jemaine, who bill themselves as "New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo." If you've not seen it, get thee to Netflix or your local video store and get a copy of Season 1.

Good Time, Good Cause

Tonight, 94.9 The River's Concert for a Cause happens in all its holiday glory with the talents of producers Jodi Peterson and Curtis Stigers and their Extreme Holiday Extravaganza. Interfaith Sanctuary has been selected by the River's listeners as the beneficiary of the ticket and auction proceeds which, due to a full bar, live and silent auctions and a plethora of entertainers, should be plenty.

The Fool Squad serves as masters of ceremony and the evening's musical entertainment includes Stigers himself, The Frim Fram Four, John Hansen, Rebecca Scott, The Rockafellas, Belinda Bowler, Ned Evett, Bill Coffey, Steve Fulton, Dale Keys, Johnny Shoes, Darkwood Consort, The Moody Jews and The Divas of Boise. Dress in your extreme best.

7 p.m., $20 plus service charges, The Morrison Center, 2201 Cesar Chavez Ln., RiverInteractive.com.
