A Kuna woman, charged in the Thanksgiving 2014 death of a Boise cyclist, is back behind bars.

Sharon Howell, 43, was arrested this summer and charged with vehicular manslaughter. She posted $20,000 bond for her release but prosecutors said Howell violated the conditions of her release when police discovered she had consumed alcohol. Howell's bond was revoked Oct. 5 and she was returned to the Ada County Jail. Additionally, her bond was increased to $250,000.

Kurt Krieger, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene on  Thanksgiving weekend 2014, after he was hit in an intersection of Lake Hazel and Meridian roads. Investigators said Krieger was riding his bicycle westbound on Lake Hazel Road when he was hit by a Ford Taurus traveling north on Meridian Road. Krieger had been heading toward the celebration of a joint birthday party with his best friend. He died three days short of his 48th birthday.

Prosecutors said Howell had a blood alcohol level of .09 and she had been distracted prior to the crash by taking a drink from a sports drink bottle in her vehicle.
