Sometimes when the members of an out-of-town band are in Boise to play a show and they've got a few hours before their gig, they'll ask where they can find the nearest coffee shop, a bookstore or the mall. Looks like Silverstein will have a few hours before their Big Easy show opening (along with Comeback Kid) for Rise Against on Thursday, July 26, but instead of looking for a moccachino, a copy of the new Harry Potter book or the latest Wii game, the Canada-based band will be hanging out at the Record Exchange signing copies of their July 3 release, Arrivals and Departures on Victory Records.
On their Web site, the band states, "The current tour with Rise Against has been an absolute blast and we can't thank those guys enough for bringing us on tour all summer long." Well, we can't thank them enough for bringing Silverstein to Boise.
Thursday, July 26, 2 p.m., FREE, the Record Exchange, 1105 W. Idaho St., 208-344-8010.
