Selling CDs Has Come A Long Way, Baby
CD Baby, the biggest name in online independent music sales announced a deal with Super D which will allow musicians currently selling their music on CD baby, to get it in over 2,400 brick-and-mortar retail stores. CD Baby's catalog of over 130,000 titles will be added to Super D's catalog of 415,000 titles making one great big damn catalog.
According to a press release from CD Baby, this deal makes it easier for local music stores "to order independent titles," and a great distribution deal for artists who will be "paid their full retail price just a week after the sale" and will be provided "the full info of the purchasing store." More information on in-store distribution is available at www.cdbaby.net/instore.
