In October, Pottery Gourmet, the little local stoneware store that specializes in Polish pottery, offers classes for both the practiced chef and the budding gourmet.

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, learn from a master. Chef Cristina Ceccatelli (owner of Cristina's Restaurant in Sun Valley will give you wings with angel hair pasta with vodka sauce; salti in bocca chicken; grilled zucchini; Italian black kale; and Torta ala della Nonna--"Grandmother's torte"--for desert.

On Thursday, Oct. 15, Chef Randy King stirs up worldly feast with spinach, shrimp and artichoke tortellini served with a creamy tomato sauce; scallops and feta with orzo; mussels and couscous; Moroccan spiced salmon with apricot relish; and then finish with a Tuscan polenta apricot rum cake to finish.

While you're still salivating over those classes, you can look forward to Chef Drew Leger's class on Thursday, Oct. 29. The Reef chef will have you dreaming of the islands with Polynesian plates: salmon with a pomegranate teriyaki sauce; jasmine rice with coconut curry; and sushi rice griddle cakes with wasabi crema topped with a pineapple and mango salsa.

Classes aren't cheap at $50 per person, but can you really put a price on the stunned reactions of the people at your next dinner party when you set one of these dishes in front of them?

Classes are from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Call the Pottery Gourmet at 208-368-0649 for more information.
