It's Harvest Time at Woodriver Cellars

The grapes are picked—and all by hand—and now it's time to turn them into fine wines. Help the folks at Woodriver Cellars celebrate this time of the season.

Adults and kids can compete to see who can fill a jug with grape concentrate in a number of divisions for stompers, with prizes handed out to the winners in each contest.

Rather do something a little more grown up? A $15 charge nets you a visit to Woodriver's barrel room and a chance to hear winemaker Neil Glancey explain what makes each wine so special. You'll taste five unreleased wines and you even get to keep your glass.

Once you have your drink on, you might feel a little more like a kid again and can join in on barrel races or a little bocce ball while the kids play in the bounce house (you adults stay out of there).

John Cazan serenades tasters and stompers alike and food will be served all day.

Sunday, Oct. 4, noon-5 p.m., FREE ($15 for barrel room visit). Woodriver Cellars, 3705 N. Hwy 16, Eagle, 208-286-9463, woodrivercellars.com.
